FUN FOR Miles & Miles

Carved into the lush landscapes of our seven mountain and lake communities are miles of trails darting across and along mountain streams, past magnificent waterfalls and to awe-inspiring summits.

Just outside the gates awaits a whole world of wonder — Table Rock, Devil’s Fork, Keowee Toxaway, and Paris Mountain State Parks. DuPont State Recreational Forest and the Pisgah National Forest are also nearby, offering tens of thousands of acres awaiting exploration. The Blue Ridge Parkway, part of the U.S. National Park Service, is just minutes from The Cliffs at Walnut Cove.

    Anna Claire RICHARDSON

    OUTDOOR ADVENTURE SPECIALIST

Anna Claire is our members’ guide to the great outdoors that surround The Cliffs. While you’ll most often find her leading a group hike — The Cliffs Exploration Series logged 56 hikes totalling 235 miles in 2017 — you’ll just as soon find her on shimmering Lake Keowee with a paddleboard under foot or leading a kayak tour or perhaps whisking winter thrill-seekers away for a day on the slopes.

Don’t forget to grab your camera when you head out for a hike. You’ll want to share those jaw-dropping vistas with your friends, especially when the leaves are changing.
