With all modesty, there may not be a more scenic, lively and flat out fun place to live than the Carolina mountains. Here, connected by the Carolinas’ most scenic highways, are The Cliffs’ communities, each as beguiling as they are diverse. But just as inviting is everything outside your door — quaint towns brimming with Southern hospitality and bustling cities pulsing with energy and creativity. Asheville, North Carolina is America’s new center for the arts and craft beer, and Greenville, South Carolina the new #1 on too many lists to mention. In between are university towns and cozy hamlets where music, theater and the arts are thriving.
OH, THE THINGS YOU'LL SEE
Each of our communities is conveniently close to the beloved Southern cities of Greenville and Asheville. Each is home to award-winning restaurants, unique shopping, exquisite performing arts centers, top-ranked hospitals and more.
The Cliffs are active, artistic and entertaining when you want busy. Secluded and private when you want quiet. But what makes The Cliffs communities absolutely unique in America is where our seven communities are located. This is a place of indescribable natural beauty.
All summer long The Cliffs’ banners fly proudly at Greenville’s Fluor Field, home to the Drive, the Red Sox farm team that plays on a downsized version of Fenway Park. When the weather cools, autumn colors come out — Gamecock garnet or Tiger orange.
The state and national parks and forests of the Carolinas protect some of the most beautiful natural recreational destinations in the country. And as every adventurous hiker knows (and there are hundred of us here at The Cliffs) these forests are home to America’s most magnificent waterfalls.
Dotting the highways and mountain roads between Clemson, Greenville and Asheville are small towns bursting with Southern hospitality. There’s the charismatic Main Street of Hendersonville, nearby Flat Rock and a town as charming as its name: Travelers Rest.
“Moving here has had a really profound effect on my life. We have four seasons, and you can be outside in all of them. I can’t imagine a better place to enjoy them.”

Member, The Cliffs at Mountain Park
When you belong to The Cliffs, you’re immediately a member at all seven communities. Imagine your home is on Lake Keowee, but you’re shopping and dining in Asheville shopping… Why not drop by Walnut Cove for an early dinner? Or your mountaintop retreat is at Glassy and you’ve gone to the lake for a day on the water. All three clubs would be inviting stops where you can tie up for a nibble and nosh.
