Wellness has been an integral part of The Cliffs since its founding, and it’s never been more true than today. Life here circles around all the many ways to get fit and stay active—indoors or in nature.
The Cliffs’ six Wellness Centers are destinations designed to help you achieve your specific fitness or performance goals, and each is staffed with wellness experts eager to inspire and motivate you. Our Wellness Centers are equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment, and also feature group exercise class spaces where you can take part in exhilarating workouts, from Pilates to spin, Zumba to YoBaChi, an invigorating combination of yoga, barre and tai chi. In addition to the standard amenities, many of our Wellness Centers feature spa services, saunas, indoor and outdoor pools and lighted tennis courts. The Valley Wellness Center also includes full-court basketball, outdoor event fields and a sand volleyball court.
Plus, you can rest assured your health and wellness is in the most qualified of hands. Five on-staff Fellows of Applied Functional Science—the Gray Institute certification for movement professionals prized by athletic champions and the Navy Seals—are on hand to provide custom assessments and tailor training programs for our members. And there are just four certified Nike Golf 360 (NG360) Performance Specialists residing in South Carolina—and all four are here at The Cliffs. These highly-trained experts can help reduce handicaps and minimize the potential of injury and pain, while increasing strength, endurance and flexibility.
If you’re more a fan of getting fit outdoors or in nature, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Take a yoga class in the crisp mountain air on top of Glassy Mountain, hike miles and miles of trails—inside or outside of the gates—enjoy miles of scenic riding trails on horseback through the Jocassee Gorges State Park, or join Tour de France legend George Hincapie for a ride through our winding mountain roads. Join The Cliffs’ Outdoor Specialists for heart-pounding whitewater rafting, a quiet kayak or paddleboard excursion on Lake Keowee, or simply a guided hike through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whatever active adventure you seek, you’re sure to find.
